A Grand Day Out

Saturday, the girls of Benenden travelled off to Chartwell, where (most of them) were forced to spend an hour or so admiring the late, great Winston Churchill's home.

I personally loved it - it's beautiful and they have glass Coke bottles in the Dispatch Box. What more could I ask for?

After our little tour, we all set off for Tunbridge Wells for an hour's worth of retail therapy.

An hour is very little time for a group of girls who haven't shopped for weeks and in the midst of exams, but we made it work.

We invaded Topshop for a good half hour before making our way off to Bean where I had an insanely sweet, and slightly sickening chocolate milkshake. YUMMM.

Last minute HMV invasion proved tres useful as I got myself two HUGE tshirts - 1 Back to the Future top and 1 Mighty Boosh top. YAY.
I'm going to cut them up and make them better, more streamlined, less retarded looking, etc.
:D Happy happy days.

Revamp

Hi kids.
After a lot of thought, Siena and I have decided to scrap Miss-B's and create a whole new, better blog.
And whilst you don't KNOW that you are secretly helping and basically the cause of this drastic move, that is precisely the reason why we are doing this. Nobody's reading, and we're going to fucking well make a better blog :D
Pardon my french.
(Ha. I actually wrote an entire post in french the other day and scrapped it. It's floating in my drafts somewhere)
Aims for the new blog - a hell of a lot more blogs, more pocket friendly fashion fresh off the catwalk AND the high street for kids our age with our allowances :D, more focus on music and edgy urban lurve (Siena isn't on board with this yet but it'll happen)
Now all we need is a name and readers.

Contenders for the blog name areeee:
alltherage.
cosmic russian dolls. <-- this has already been vetoed but I can't remember any of the other names.

Allrighty.
PEEEACE.

O Sister, Where Art Thou?

In an attempt to revive this dying blog, I'm going to start posting again as much as possible - even though we don't have readers.

PEOPLE OF THE INTERWEBS, COME READ THIS PLEASE.

I hope it works.
Exam week is upon us and yet I spent the whole day in bed pondering life and listening to Owl City. Why, do you ask? Because I have too much free time and I only have 3 more subjects to be examined on and THEY'RE NOT TILL SATURDAY! TODAY IS THURSDAY!

As well as simply writing this to escape from writing essays and also because I actually love this blog and found it amazingly fun to natter on like I am now, I'm trying to apply for lookbook.nu, my favourite website at the mo. It's full of beautiful people dressing up in beautiful clothes and striking beautiful poses in beautiful photos. And I'm going to eat them.

I'm joking, don't worry. No - lookbook.nu is an exclusive invite and application only institution and in the application all candidates have to include a link to their blog or website. That's all dandy, right? I mean - I do co-write this blog.
OH NO, WAIT. I HAVEN'T POSTED SINCE DECEMBER! THE START OF DECEMBER! I heard you swear. Or maybe it was me. Both of us? Swearing in sync.

How can my application be approved when my reference is 6 months out of date? IT CAN'T! AND THAT'S THE TRUTH. So I'm going to try and get Siena to start blogging as well and perform a rather late blog resuscitation.

And since I am constantly, forever, updating and cramming my laptop with pages stolen from stylefinder and asos, net-a-porter and modcloth - I might as well present what you (so that's..nobody) have been missing for the past six months. Vive la blog!

Sweet Child O' Mine

HELLO THERE.

As some of you may know, Sien (..-sien) and I were the happy attendees at last weekend's shopping trip to Bluewater. (well. yesterday.)

And whilst I did not purchase copious amounts as I wished (freaking English sizes), I DID buy an amaazing charcoal gray Guns 'N Roses tee :)

I think fate was on mon side, as I was in Zavvi beforehand and lusting after the G&R tee, but the sleeves had scalloped hems (ew) and it was 20 quid. Not to mention it was bloody small. I don't like wearing shirts that are actually my size (as Sien knows), so they have to be at least 10s. After leaving the tshirt in a gloomy cloud, we meandered into New Look and Cloz spotted a G&R shirt, minus the gross hems and a whole 8 quid! THAT'S LIKE 100 HONG KONG DOLLARS.

So I'm a happy bunny :)

It's oh so comfy (oversized tees rule) and I've already thought of a million things to wear with it. Lo and behold, the great tshirt:

I LOVE it. Wore it yesterday w/ shiny black leggins, a long black cardi and a leather jacket on top. Crazy layering is acceptable in this weather :)

Now - I'm going to post some more goodies from la trip du shopping: Voila. The gorgeous, coveted 50's-esque Topshop lips dress in the wrong size :( whilst I may like oversized tees, one cannot get away with an oversized, corseted and cupped dress. Not when it looks like that. Sadly there was only one left, and it was a 10. At 45 pounds, it's such a bargain, and anyone who has the chance to buy it (there are a few floating around on eBay), I urge you to buy it. NOW. Because it is beautiful.

Les chaussures! THE Mary Janes. 55 quid from Topshop's JUICE section. Unfortunately the store we went to didn't stock size 3s. And yes. My feet are tiny. Get over it. (Haha..Kinderella - Sien, you know what I'm talking about) Now for those who know what I'm like, you've probably realised that I have an unhealthy obsession with Mary Janes. Especially black suede ones with a low bar and a mid heel. Or the green ones from Penelope. Haha.

More to come...

The HAWT List

I don't know about you, but I find underwear shopping both the most satisfying and the most fun thing ever! So I was mooching about in Bluewater and have decided on this: The short list of the BEST underwear, ranging from the cheap and cheerful, to the pricey and perfect!

1. M&S Ceriso Coquet Jacquard Basque- £25.00:
This little beauty is super cute and fun, but still sexy as hell! I love the pattern, and the shape fits nicely and prettily! It's really feminine and makes you feel great when you're wearing it!

2. La Senza Pure Luxury Velvet Rope- £25.00:
Don't be put off by the name- Velvet Rope (no idea...)- this is one of the most gorgeous bras in the store, and it's really comfortable and pretty- and almost invisible under shirts!

3. La Senza Glam & Sexy Ra Ra Dot Bra- £18.00
This baby is sexy and flirtatious- just like us girls! It's kinda heavily padded, and not the most comfortable, but for short periods of time, it gets fab results *winks...*. The matching pants however, are awesome! I love the fit, and they make your butt look tiny!

4. Calvin Klein Underwear Lace Colourblock Balconnet Bra- £28.00:
I don't know about you, but for me, you cannot go wrong with Calvin Klein. Every bra fits perfectly, and they are so comfortable I could wear mine for days! I think the colour of this bra is really charming, and everyone knows matching underwear makes your day go better!

5. Intimissimi Balconet Demi Bra- £28.00:
Cool and comfortable, this is the cute bra for the sporty girl! I'm loving the cool colours- heather brown and pale grey with pale pink lace trim. I haven't worn this one, but I have other Intimissimi bras and they are so comfortable I wore them to death! Only problem? They do come up small.

6. Stella McCartney Knickers of the Week- £125 for 7:
With beautifully embroidered days of the week on the front of these little lacy panties, they make either a fabulous gift or a fun treat for yourself! I'm loving the flowers embroidered on Monday's pair, and Thursday's pair are so pretty!

7. Victoria's Secret Pink 'Most Popular' T-Shirt Bra- $28.50-$34.50:
I handed my cash over in an instant for this bra- I don't think I possess a comfier bra, or one that looks as good on! It comes in nine different colours, including the classic pink stripe, and three different spot colours! And, the best part is, there are hundreds of different pants to match any colour you choose!

8. Mimi Holliday Polka Petrus Bra and Knicker Set- £76.00
This Mimi Holliday underwear set is cute and fun- the ties at the side are perfect for secret trysts... Not that we're into those... :) The bra is über comfy and the knickers are fabulous! Recommended to me by my friend Jessie- THANK YOU HONEY!

9. Agent Provocateur Minnie Bra- £75.00
THIS is the most comfortable bra I have EVER worn, and although pricey, it is a fabulous investment. My philosophy? Look great on the inside, look great on the outside! All of the AP underwear is fabulous for special occasions, or if you have the resources, every day!!!

So, here ends the shortlist- But I leave thou with advice from the underwear GODS, Joseph Corre (Vivienne Westwood's son) and Serena Rees, creators of Agent Provocateur.

"When bra-buying, go for the best quality you can afford, and treat it with respect.
Also, enjoy your lingerie, let it poke out under outfits- a hint (just a hint...) of cleavage and a ribboned strap is sexy! Good Luck!"

Featherbrain!

I was simply mooching around on the internet, and came across these gorgeous headbands by Etsy. I don't know what you guys are asking for christmas, but I want one of these:-

Calloway:

Simone:

And the Gillespie:

My personal favourite is Gillespie- but what can I say- they're gorgeous, and it can't be long until these start cropping up everywhere! Birds of a feather... xxx

Finds of the Day: High Class

Okay, so you guys probably know by now that I spend FAR too much time on Net-A-Porter, but I've decided to give you the rundown of my favourite pieces now!

Above is my favourite jumper right now- the anchor has a touch of summery quirkiness, and I love the length- it's über flattering! The colour is sweet, and although I'm not crazy about what Net-A-Porter put it with, it would look great with skinnies and heels for a glammed up slouchy look!

Newcomer Richard Nicholl debuted his first collection three years ago at LFW. Now, he has released a range of minidresses, and this is my favourite piece! The colour is beautiful, and the buttons on the back are so neat!

Now I'm not sure about you, but I love this Marc by Marc Jacobs top- it's perfect for those days when you can't really be bothered, but want to look good! A lazy Saturday evening in at home, or just out and about, this is sure to make you look like you put more of an effort into your outfit than you actually did!
